HPD monitoring and repair follow-up

An HPD alert should lead to a repair record you can explain.

See supported HPD matters in the context of your building, then connect the responsible person, work order, evidence, and recorded correction or certification deadline.

01

Triage the actual notice

Review the recorded violation class, condition, dates, and source. HPD uses Class A, B, and C categories; the notice and applicable requirement determine the action. Avoid assigning one generic due date to every HPD violation.

02

Connect access, repairs, and evidence

Assign operational follow-up and retain work-order notes, dates, original photos, and vendor records. Keep tenant access and communication permissions alongside the repair workflow.

03

Check certification and closure separately

A completed repair, certification submission, and agency clearance are different records. PropertyWatch helps organize the work; verify the official HPD outcome through the applicable agency process.

Will an alert certify the repair with HPD?

No. Notifications and internal repair records do not submit HPD certification. An authorized person must use the applicable official process.

When does an HPD email arrive?

Eligible alerts follow successful supported source synchronization and your saved notification settings. Agency publication and delivery timing can vary.
