DOB monitoring service

A complaint and a violation need different next steps.

PropertyWatch keeps supported DOB records in their proper context so an owner or manager can review the official source, assign follow-up, and retain the record behind the action.

01

Start with the record type

Identify whether you are reviewing a complaint, issued violation, permit, filing, or OATH/ECB matter. A complaint reports an allegation; it is not interchangeable with an issued enforcement record.

02

Keep the agency link and history

Review identifiers, recorded statuses, and the source system. DOB's published building-data resources span multiple systems, so a single dashboard label should not replace review of the relevant official record.

03

Make the next step accountable

Link the matter to a responsible person and a practical task. Retain documents, repairs, professional follow-up, and later official status changes without treating an internal closeout as proof that every DOB issue is resolved.

Does a closed DOB complaint mean the building is clear?

No. Review the specific violations, permits, filings, and other records involved. One complaint result does not establish the outcome of every matter.

Can you guarantee no future DOB fines?

No. Monitoring and operational follow-up support your team's review. Compliance obligations and official enforcement outcomes remain separate responsibilities.
