Consent-first messaging for maintenance coordination

How PropertyWatch is structuring SMS and MMS around clear enrollment, operational context, opt-outs, and a durable communication history.

Operational messages need context

Repair communication often crosses several people: a manager, tenant, superintendent, vendor, and owner. PropertyWatch keeps the building, unit, work-order reference, and permitted channel connected so recipients can understand why they are being contacted.

Consent is a system state

A phone number by itself is not treated as permission. The product records whether SMS or MMS is allowed, where that choice came from, and when it changed.

  • Separate, optional SMS enrollment
  • STOP handling that suppresses further texts
  • HELP instructions and a visible support address
  • Tenant and vendor communication preferences
  • Human approval before automatic outreach during the pilot

One shared PropertyWatch program

During launch, messages use a shared PropertyWatch number and identify PropertyWatch as the sender. Customer organizations can coordinate their authorized property operations through that program; white-label or marketing traffic is not included.
